Mini notepad cover

It was my best friend’s birthday on the weekend, so now I can blog about what I made her the weekend before. It’s a mini notepad cover, and being the lovely friend that she is the first thing she did was complement me on the perfectness of my curved stitching! She knows how to make me feel like I am actually getting somewhere hehehe.

Here it is:

The pattern is one of the ones I adapted to make my own notebook cover a few weeks ago. This is how the original pattern was intended to be used. I only had to unpick once, and only because I left too much seam allowance when sewing together, and the notepad wouldn’t fit in the pocket!

The pattern can be found here:

On a side note, you can see my mug in the photos, for size comparison. It is my fave mug and I constantly have it full of tea. Its a pretty accurate representation of my personality. It says “Storm in a tea cup”, with a little rain cloud printed inside the teacup, but no lightening because I am a timid storm πŸ™‚

I have actually been on the hunt for a sewing themed mug for me to use whilst sewing, and I think I found the perfect one. I’ll share it when it arrives from the UK! πŸ™‚

  1. love this post – but I love the mug talk. I have a mug problem!! Like too many for the cupboard and K is always telling me I have to get rid of a few πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to see the new arrival! haha

    • I don’t have many mugs thankfully, the kitchen is tiny! But I have my main work one and my main home one, and I will hunt the whole house before settling on a different mug to what I am used to lol.
