On the 8th December 2011 I made a spontaneous purchase at Spotlight…a sewing machine:

And it brought out a creative side of me I had never really seen before!

I did the mandatory sewing introduction  in Year 7 & 8 at school, then did what most girls did and elected sewing for years 9 & 10. I always wished I had done woodwork instead but when I bought my first machine 10 years later it was just all so intuitive to me thanks to all those classes and I now love it

While I have a basic knowledge, I am essentially a beginner and this blog chronicles my new hobby…the first real hobby I have ever had!

I work in Industrial Relations, want to be a writer, love indoor wall climbing and drink loads of tea. Lets all be friends!
